Do we have any comparative data study to check the Bond strength of Hard chrome deposit on M.S and C.I,in different processes like conventional/SRHS/and organic additives used chemistry.

Long ago I remember having read an article stating a maximum of 20,000 psi of bond strength for hard chrome over steel. Adhesion is more a function of surface preparation, internal stress and external work done to the plate than of the chemistry itself, with the exception of high alloy steels such as stainless, where the fluoride chemistry is better.
