Trivalent chrome bath purification [California]

+++++

Is trivalent chrome use on the rise? I am trying to immobilize an inexpensive ligand to remove divalent contaminants from a trivalent chrome plating bath. Can someone help me with typical contaminant loads? Typical bath volumes? Level of divalents that create the need to replace baths?

Tri valent chromates are very common. The shop I work in uses them almost exclusively. They are very picky, they like to develop problems out of nowhere.
