Defective parts from plating pits

++++

I've been experiencing a high rate of plating pits in my nickel-chrome plating process of cold rolled steel. I'm looking for some general nickel-chrome plating information to educate myself so as to properly troubleshoot the problem. Please note, our polishing is done in the same building as the plating.

If you need to properly troubleshoot this and other plating problems you should consider a "proper and thorough" training, not just general information. There are excellent books and institutions that offer excellent courses. Pitts may come from many causes. Some of the most frecuent could be adhered bubles, soils, dust, excessive pickling, even existing microscopic pitts that are magnified by the process and several other.
