Corrosion of cadmium plated pins in phosphour bronze

++++

Have cadmium plated stainless pins used as hinge pins, these run in phosphor bronze bushes and they are seizing up.

My thinking is the cadmium is reacting with the phosphor bronze in a galavanic manner.

What are the alternatives? I would do away with the cadmium plating and just use the stainless pins as they are, am I on the right path?

Thanks
