How to do Silver Plating

I have a 0.5 x 1.0 metal that has had the silver plating rubbed off.

My son has a small 0.5 x 1.0 inch metal which is worn. I want to silver plate it.

I have a small chem lab with the equipment necessary to electroplate.

What are the chemicals and process that I need to follow?

Clean it with Pumice [link is to product info at Amazon] and a little detergent and a tampico brush. Rinse. Activate it by immersion in dilute sulphuric acid. Rinse. Electroplate it with a commercial silver strike solution, then a commercial silver electroplating solution.
