Letter 32022 Determination of Surface Area for NADCAP logs [Massachusetts]++++ We are an electroplating company that is Nadcap accredited. We are having a problem in the surface area requirement. We have too many orders on a daily basis for us to keep up with it by doing it by hand. Our customers do not provide us the information, we have asked--but does anyone know of an easy way to do this task? Perhaps a machine or anything that would make this work more smoothly for us. hank you in advance. JEFF MEUSE
++++ Having worked for a NADCAP accredited company for many years I found the best method for determining surface area is with a measuring device, i.e. ruler, verniers, and a calculator. It would be fantastic if there were an instrument like a barcode scanner that could do this for us. There might be something like that out there but it would probably be cost prohibitive to most plating shops. If you find one let me know. Tim Hamlett
