commercial kitchen equipments

We are a hygiene service provider undertaking various types of
cleaning. We have a large clientele of restaurants and hotels. Could
you please send us details of buffing or polishing solutions for
stainless steel kitchen equipments. We would appreciate if you will
let us know where can we buy them. Thanks George

Buffing the equipment will impart the desired sheen, and there are
many suppliers of the required wheels, compounds, and technical advice
including JacksonLea.
For the ultimate in providing sanitary equipment though, the sinks
could be electropolished, although this may be rather difficult to do
in situ. But talk to suppliers of the solutions and technology like
Metal Coating Process Corp.
and Sifco.

I am restoring jet turbine engines for display purposes. This
involves cleaning of 316 and other high alloy stainless steels who
has been subjected to high temperatures ( 600 deg C to 900 deg C ).
To remove the brown oxide by abrasive methods is considered
impossible on these complicated and thin walled and sometimes plated
components ( blasting is not an option for this reason ). Is there a
simple acid bath or simple electro chemical method for removing this
oxide without going all the way to electro polishing?
