Removing Chrome from Brass

-

I have an old scale that I would like to remove the peeling chrome from the brass underneath. What is the most efficient way for me to strip the chrome? I have tried sandblasting a small spot, but it is a pain to buff it shiny... Thanks, Rick Quarles

well you need to get some ammonia and a car battery, get a metal rod and get some paper towel and rap it around then end ot the rod ussing elastics. Now hook the possitive up to the rod and negative to the workpeice. Dip the towel in amonia and start rubbing chrome away, wear a paper mask and good rubber protective gloves [link is to product info at Amazon] and use common sense. Good Luck Barrett
