Making plastics conductive with
Electrodag [Newfoundland]
++++
I am wondering if
Electrodag can be used to
put a conductive coating on a plastic part prior to electroplating
it.
Also is it available in Canada?
Thank you, Danny Anderson

I'm sure it's available in Canada, Danny, and
Acheson Colloids can give
you further info on its availability.
The answer is that you certainly can put it onto a plastic part
prior to electroplating . . . but the application might be completely
satisfactory or totally unsatisfactory depending on what you are
trying to do.
For example, this process is used for things such as plating
flowers, and some industrial applications as well -- probably even
involving soldering; but is would not be a preplate process suitable
for exterior automotive application.
