High temp chrome finish for stove

++++ I have an old ornate parlor stove that the pedestal and top was chromed finished at one time. Is there any chrome paint or spray paint that will stand up against this kind of heat? sherry j [last name deleted for privacy by Editor] hobby - Licking, mo., usa ++++ A photo would help, Sherry. It's hard to get black paint to stand up, and even harder to get colored enamels to do so, so my feeling is that the imitation chrome paints won't work.
