Polishing a chrome look headlight bezel

Hi:

I have a Suzuki SV650 which I recently dropped at low speed scratching the presumably aluminum (chrome look) headlight bezel. I was wondering what the best way to polish out the scratches is, or even if its possible? I was planning to use a Dremel [link is to product info at Amazon] tool to get into the curves.
