Recipes of gold, silver and copper brush plating baths?

++++

Greetings:

I was wondering where I might recipes for copper, gold and silver (non-cyanide) electrolytic brush plating baths. I understand several manufacturers market some of these with all sorts of proprietary additives for sale but I am just looking for basic content information for experimental purposes.

Thank you.

The Metal Finishing Guidebook or the Electroplating Engineering Handbook would be good starting sources for 'recipes', but a word of warning that plating is about process sequences not recipes. A rule of thumb is that 90 percent of all plating problems are pretreatment problems. That rule might be bent a little in brush plating, but not that much.
