Architect wants brushed aluminum finish on suspended ceiling

I am remodeling a 2 story office. I want to paint the ceiling which is standard vinyl faced accoustical lay in panels in a metal grid. I want to paint it a brushed aluminum finish as well as the ceiling registers. We will remodel one floor at a time so we cannot use a product with a high VOC content that would make the occupants sick. What can I use that will give the best representation of satin silver finish?

Hello Laine,

You would need to find a waterbase coating. It really doesn't matter how many VOCs are in the paint, what matters is the solvent smell that makes people sick.
