Letter 2633 Wanted: Aluminum Impregnation and Alodining Equipment Providers- The company that I work for designs and manufactures valve actuators. Many of these actuators are built around cast aluminum housings that are required to be air tight, water tight and explosion proof in many cases. In order to accomplish this, the housings undergo high pressure impregnation. They are also alodined to prevent corrosion. I am interested in information on aluminum impregnation and aluminum alodining equipment to better understand if these are processes that we can profitably perform in-house. This would also provide us with a list of equipment providers should we make the decision to purchase the equipment needed to impregnate and alodine. These castings fit within a 24 inch cube envelope and we process 60 to 200 castings per week. John W Munro
- Anoplate does both processes. We use an Impco impregnation system and a Henkel, formerly Parker-Amchem, Alodine 1200S. The sales reps. from these companies should help you with your start-up evaluation. An impregnation line, however, can be very costly and you may not want to tie-up the capital investment for only 200 parts/week. Impco is out of Providence, RI and Henkel has an office in Madison Heights, MI. Good luck.
Dear Reader: Sorry, but this particular Commercial Inquiry / RFQ is outdated.
