Plating Muscle Wire (titanium-nickel)

+++

I want to use titanium-nickel (I think) "muscle wire" for model control. Can someone please advise how I can copper plate the ends for soldering. (TiNi won't solder!)

Thanks in advance.

I could be in error on this, John, but I think what you call " titanium-nickel muscle wire" is more often called nickel-titanium (or nitinol, a tradename) memory wire over here. If you search this site for "plating nitinol" and "plating nickel-titanium" and "plating NiTi", I think you'll see some advise. That doesn't, of course, mean that it's plateable by a hobbyist. You might think about using a different joining technology.
