Letter 26094 Copper post-treatment [Louisiana]+++ I purchased a copper light (already oxidized) and when I opened it, it feels like there is some type of oil all over it. Could you tell me why its oiled and should I continue to oil it? I have not been able to reach anyone from the light company. Thank You. Elizabeth Valenti
+++ The Oil is used to preserve the patina, other than using lacquer. I like to use Jasco Lemon Oil to keep it clean or Pledge which has wax in it that will help to protect the fixture. Good luck. Jon Diamond
