Aluminum oxide for paint [South Carolina]

We are interested in producing paint compounds that contain aluminum oxide powder. Several years ago we manufactured an aluminum oxide paste which was used for textile printing. We blended 50% a.o. powder with 50% diethylene glycol, producing a very heavy paste. Recently, we we contacted about supplying a similar paste to be used in the paint industry( small,family owned paint company ). The use will be oil based paints only.

Question; Can we use the same formula (above) and add this paste to a ti02 oil based, tint base ? If DEG is not a good substrate (in paint industry) for ao paste, what do you recommend ?
