Suitable tube material for sea water condenser

Hi,

I am looking for suitable material for surface condenser at sea water .The material of existing surface condenser is Cu-Ni (70-30), we have faced to ammonia plant shut-down every month due to failure of this condenser . What is your idea about Titanium?

Sorry but I don't understand your situation and question. You are running sea water through this "condenser" to condense something? And that something is ammonia? Your question is too vague I think.

Best material is B111A1706 (DIN 17664) for condenser at sea water.

Dear Mr Faraji,

Titanium of course is the best choice for sea water exploitation. A lot of titanium condencers we have manufactutered during decades.The question still exists as to whether the sea water is the cause of the damage or it is due to ammonium species corrosion attack. Please provide more information. Russia is the huge world source ot titanium and I am 20 years with the metal.
