Suitable tube material for sea water
condenser
+++
Hi,
I am looking for suitable material for surface condenser at sea
water .The material of existing surface condenser is Cu-Ni (70-30),
we have faced to ammonia plant shut-down every month due to failure
of this condenser . What is your idea about Titanium?

Sorry but I don't understand your situation and question. You are
running sea water through this "condenser" to condense something? And
that something is ammonia? Your question is too vague I think.

Dear Mr Faraji,
Titanium of course is the best choice for sea water exploitation.
A lot of titanium condencers we have manufactutered during
decades.The question still exists as to whether the sea water is the
cause of the damage or it is due to ammonium species corrosion
attack. Please provide more information. Russia is the huge world
source ot titanium and I am 20 years with the metal.
