Can plastic parts of Harley V-rod be chromed?

+++

I am looking for solutions to chroming some plastic pieces on my 2002 Harley V-rod. Headlight and taillight sections are made of plastic and I want to create a chrome finish. These are about the only pieces on the bike that are not chromed. Is it possible to chrome plastic? If so, who does it?

Thank you,

Yes, it is certainly possible to chrome plate plastic, Mike. Virtually all of the shiny grills and headlight and taillight fascias of the world's automobiles are chrome plated plastic. It is also possible to apply "chrome like paint", which can look acceptable due to the recent great advances in this field, although it's still neither as shiny nor as durable as real chrome plating.

See the banner at the top of the page for some shops who offer this service, or search our directories for "plating on plastic" or "chrome-look paint". Good luck.
