The Magnesium FAQ is really out of date. Alan, why do not you try a modern pre-treatments?

Ilya Ostrovsky
Oakite Chemetall

You are right, Ilya, and there is a quick addendum reflecting that fact at Update on Magnesium Treatments. People should contact their suppliers for information about these new processes.

If you can help update our FAQ in a non-commercial fashion, we would be very pleased to add your addendum. But most of these new treatments are proprietary, and trying to mix together proprietary sales literature with peer-reviewed published technical articles makes an unpalatable salad :-)
