Cyanide-free barrel polishing

We have a customer who is looking for a safer alternative to Cyanide in a Barrel-Polishing operation in which he is cleaning Brass Castings. The toxicity levels are of major concern to him. Is there any safer alternative?

Other than a chemical polishing the best alternative is mechanical processes. Of the latter either hand buffing or mass finishing systems would be the choices and the best of these would depend on volume of parts to be processed.
