Color anodized motorcycle wheels [Pennsylvania]

My wife would like to have her chrome Harley V Rod wheels changed to a puple anodized color. Will this hold up to road conditions? The wheels we purchased were very expensive and the chrome started to blister with only 800 miles on them. Any help would be appreciated. I searched alot and have not found any places that do this process. Thanks for your time.
