Yellow zinc vs. 316L stainless

+++

How does yellow zinc compare to 316l stainless steel when it comes to corrosion? We were told by a supplier that SS is much better at resisting corrossion and we agree. However a customer is saying yellow zinc is better. Please advise.

Thanks,

I would certainly bet on the stainless steel based on the law of averages, but it is impossible to answer whether a construction material is corrosion resistant and otherwise satisfactory totally in the abstract. In fact, it's silly, misleading, and dangerous. Gold is more corrosion resistant than either, so is sand; so are tomatoes in a few rare situations. :-)
