Spearco Mustang intercooler coatings for corrosion protection [Maryland]

I recently picked up an aluminum Intercooler made of 6061 AL for my supercharged Mustang.. It does not have any coating over the surface and I am concerned about corrosion over time. I was thinking of irriditing the surface, but is there another coating available that I can apply to allow heat transfer and also corrosion protection. The intercooler sits in fronnt of the radiator on the car year round.
