Brilliant gold picture frame

+++

I purchased a picture print in Spain. The frame - made of plastic or resin - is finished in a brilliant gold - as brght as a new gold ring. It could be a lacquer or a plastic coating. I accidentally scratched the frame and I don't know how to restore it. Gold paints, pens, sprays are far too dull and grainy - far too unlike the smooth bright golden effect I need. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
