Painting Brass and Nickel for underwater use

I am trying to find a coating to apply to a small brass stirrer that has 2 nickel plated magnets attached with epoxy. The main problem is the item will be submersed in a low % alcohol & water solution constantly. Conventional paints tend to wither up after a while. Powder coat is out of the question, because the heat of the process would degrade the magnets. Anybody got any ideas?

Why can't you use commercial teflon coated "spin bars" that are available from any scientific supply company. You might have to get innovative with your fastening techniques rather than just epoxy. Another thought is to have them electroless nickel plated to at least 0.001" per side.
