Etching solution for P20 [Michigan]

I would like to find a acid ething solution for P20 (tool steel). I repair plastic injection molds and do alot of texture repair on them. I normally use a variety of tools and punches. These textures are originally created in the steel by a texture house. They are not very open about there process or the solutions used. I understand the process and a etching solution would make these repairs less difficult in some cases.
