Transparent Conductive Coating
--
I am looking for a technique to apply a transparent conductive
coating on a ZnS coated copper wire (~1mm dia).
Sputtering will do but it is very expensive and is not convenient
for such a geometry.
Spraying, dip coating or sol gel technique would be a feasible
solution. But how?
Welcome any suggestion.

You need something like a spray-on Tin Oxide coating. This coating
is commonly used in the solar-cell applications and is available
commercially. Talk to some of the solar-cell folks or find some of
their literature. I am sure there are many patents on it.

transparent conductive paints are available from many sources now
a days. A good product is marketed by agfa - various grades of
"ORGACON" - you can select depending on your need. Bayer is marketing
Baytron F CPP 105 DM. You can also try CNT based "transparent ink"
made by Eikos in Franklin MA.
If you can manage with non transparent conductive coating, there are
many more suppliers who make silver/gold/graphite based formulations.
