Letter 2038 -- I would like to know if anyone has ever seen the "white specking" problem on galvanneal surfaces? I have seen and know the corrective actions for this problem on zinc surfaces using a zinc phoshate coating. The question has to do with an iron phosphate coating on a galvanneal surfaces. Has anyone ever seen this and if so what corrective actions where implemented. Terry Giles
Terry: Dont' tell me you've never seen white rust before...
+ White rust is a condition caused by water being pressure trapped in tension wrapped coils, can also be caused by moisture entering from outside walls after recoiling. To prevent chem.treat is applied before recoiling. Alfred C. Blythe
