15-5 surface preparation

--

I am trying to surface prep 15-5 for adhesive bonding. The manufacturer recommends a 20% by weight sloution of nitric acid for 25-35 minutes. The company that we are getting the treatment done by has tanks of 50% by volume nitric acid solution. Can I use this sloution without damaging the metal? If so, how much should I shorten the exposure time?
