Galvanizing flux

++

In galvanizing, can we add sodium chloride to our flux solution? 1. if yes, what is the zncl2,nh4cl and nacl ratio? 2. could you provide me with the chemical reaction of the above mentioned solution with steel (cold rolled)?

Thanks..

What would be the purpose of adding sodium chloride to the flux?

The zinc ammonium chloride is the active, reactive material; sodium can act as a diluent or even decrease galvanizing efficiency depending on the process (continuous sheet, wire, after-fabrication, etc.)

I can answer your question better with a little more information!
