Hydrogen Embrittlement determination

++

How to prove that the defective samples such as screw, bolt, threaded bar and nut failed because of hydrogen embrittlement? What kind of test can be done for this purpose? Thanks.

A few tests proposed by ASTM, you could refer their publication for detail methodology.

There is a simple test called Head Soundness Test. The Test specifies that the screw head is hit by a hammer, so as to bend up to 10 degree and there should be no breakage or crack.
