Deburring

++

Dear sir,

We are part of a leading auto part manufacturing group in India. At our facility we manufacture brass components for the car transmission. We are 100% suppliers to maruti and hyundai motors from last 5 years. We are looking for solutions to our deburring problem. We wanted to do the deburring on the finished parts. At present we are doing rough machining then deburring then finish machining. We wanted to change our process to machining and deburring and packing. Please help us to change this.

A lot of unknowns here, but one thing I caught was that you are doing deburring and then finish machining. Unless I am reading this wrong, you don't want to deburr prior to finishing, unless you mean plating or painting. For economical reasons you do not want to deburr parts prior to maching, unless there are safety problems or precision dimensions based on a specific final dimension. Now with that said, I can not recommend equipment or processing until I know something more about the parts, such as size shape, material, weight, volume, etc.
