Salts in the Distillation Pipes

++

We have a distiller in our laboratory that always clogs inside the pipes with salts supposedly gypsum among others. It has become hard to wash through the pipes and we always dissemble the distiller to remove the salts manually as the wash solution cannot reach the rubber pipes. The water source is bore hole and there is no other source available. What can we fit in to remove the salts prior to the distiller?

Please help,

Best thing you should take a sample of source and take to a water testing laboratory. This provide information of impurities in your water including hardness, salts and metals (iron, magnesium) and to select a suitable treatment system to treat your water.

Based on your observation it looks like you may have a very "hard" water and you may need to put a water softner upstream of the distiller.
