Making copper covered counter tops

++

I just recently bought a new house. I wanted to do something with the counter tops, that is less expensive. I would love to have copper counters. But my question is if it is cheaper to buy a large sheet of copper and put it on myself, or just to get new counter tops in general? And how would I cut the copper and so forth? Where would I go about finding this. Also, do they make copper foil?

Hi, Mandy. I'm not sure if "foil" would be heavy enough for counter tops, but copper is fairly available in 24 or 36 gauge. You might try this website's supporting advertiser, "Color Copper Sheets". Good luck.
