Electroplating a plastic endcap that will be magneformed

++

We are currently looking into an electroplating for our plastic end cap. We are concerned with the permeability of the plastic and are considering adding the electroplating to help with this issue. Some say this is not a good idea since it will be magneformed does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi, Jason. I don't know much about magneforming, but I would expect any electroplating to be an excellent conductor in this situation and to react strongly to the magneforming forces. If you are hoping that the plated plastic will not react to the magneform magnetism, sorry, but I can't support that theory :-(
