Etching of 3000 series aluminium

I am having trouble etching a 3000 series aluminium. Have tried caustic, Tuckers, Kellars, Barkers, dilute and concentrated HF with water. I only have success in revealing the precipitates and cannot resolve the grain boundaries. Can anybody out there help me out??

It's better to anodise it .
