Mechanical plating with zinc

++

I would like to get explanation of coating: Zinc plating IAW ASTM B695 [link is to spec at TechStreet] Class Fe/Zn 12 Type II. Is that mechanical zinc, yellow, 12 micrometers thickness?

Thanks for early reply,

Hi, Miroslav. I'd like to have an explanation of your situation, as opposed to a rather abstract question, because I think I could then answer it better for you. But I can tell you that, yes, ASTM B695 is a specification that covers mechanical zinc, as you say.

I thought it used terms like Class 50 rather than Class Fe/Zn 12, but what you would need to do is start with a copy of B695 and see exactly what classes and types it describes. This is a copyrighted spec, so people cannot quote from it except for "fair use". Obviously, quoting enough that people don't need to buy the spec fails the fair use exemption :-)

Good luck and Regards,
