Seeking Vise Jaw Surfacing [Kentucky]

I am a machining supervisor looking for someone to provide a serrated edge on 12" vise jaws. The edge is 1/2" down from the top of the jaw and 1/2" up from the bottom of the jaw. The edge must not be raised.(The jaws are capable of being rotated 180 degrees to maximize usage.)The jaws are made from AISI A6 Tool Steel and are 47 Rockwell. I am not sure of the process needed to produce the edge that I am looking for. I suspect it may be etched? I am unable to reach company that last provided this service. The telephone number that I have for them is no longer in service. Due to the editorial standards of this site, I will not reveal that company's name. This particular company was located in Troy, MI. Any lead at all, would be greatly appreciated.
