Lowering Shrinkage of Raw Materials

Now I don't know the way to low the shrinkage of the raw materials--clay. Through I do lots, but I can't solve the problem, so I hope the that you would help me. Thanks!

My best hypothesis would be that your clay is shrinking due to dehydration - it's drying out. The space formerly occupied by the water is now vacant, and the dirt can compact into a smaller size. The clay won't shrink with the water in it because you can't compress a liquid (the basis of hydraulics). Hope this helps.
