Anodizing

Does anyone out there in Anoland have experience with using a Porous Pot, such as is used to remove impurities from chrome solution, for the purpose of removing dissolved aluminum from anodizing baths? I have heard this can be done, but am not having much success with it. If it works, what is the voltage used?

Any light shed on this would be appreciated.

Are you sure it is a "porous pot"? Or ion exchanger columns?
