Powder paint coating w/o electrostatics

--

Hi,

Just recently I have been introduced to the powder paints and related technology. I am currently trying to find a way to coat metal surfaces with powder paint (-400 mesh size) NOT using electrostatics (metal parts contain engravings and the electrostatically charged powder sticks to the edges and is almost impossible to remove later on). Ideally I would like to use some mechanical device to spread the powder locally and uniformily, or maybe an air-gun without electrostatic plate? Anyone who tried this at home or has some ideas please answer.
