Scenario: using soluble Zn anode with pyrophosphate electrolyte in solution, ph=about 12 and temp of 125 degrees F to plate out Zn coating.

Is there a cheaper electrolyte that will do the same thing without adding volume to the existing solution?

Hello, Christy.

Please include your last name on your next response. This page is about real people and real problems, not anonymous questions. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure I understand the question. You are trying to zinc electroplate from a pyrophosphate solution rather than a conventional acid zinc, alkaline zinc, or cyanide zinc? Why?
