What testing procedures are available for determining unknown brightener concentrations in a Zinc Acid Chloride bath, with reliable accuracy? Thanks for your help.

On the Finishing Technology Hotline BBS we had an old but very interesting interchange about HPLC and its limitations. For handy reference, we have a copy of it here. I guess the best answer though is "the proof of the pudding is in the eating", i.e., Hull Cell testing is still the best approach for most small to medium size shops.
