Activating polished nickel without dulling

-----

Can someone please help me find a procedure for activating polished sulfamate nickel without dulling the surface finish ?

Seanshop

Hi, Seanshop. Electrocleaning, followed by a dip in stabilized citric acid, is touted by video disc manufacturers. Sounds like it's worth a shot. Of course, they're using electroforming one item using another as the pattern, so they don't need excellent adhesion. For best adhesion you need to electroless nickel strike. Good luck!
