Need spare parts for Eidschun Automatic Plating equipment

Q. We bought an automatic Eidschun machine second hand several years ago.
Eidschun is out of business (to the best of my knowledge) and we cannot find spare parts for this equipment.
Appreciate if someone can point us in the right direction Marcos Cielak

A. Hi Marcos. Hopefully someone has bought Eidschun's drawings, patterns, engineering records, etc., and will be able to supply you.
If not, I'd be happy to try to suggest what to do. I spent most of my career designing programmed hoist lines and servicing those made by many manufacturers ... but unfortunately I didn't encounter Eidschun equipment and am not familiar with the particular 'linear gears' you speak of.
Please send a close-up, well-focused picture of the actual component you are seeking so we can understand it better and hopefully source it. But I strongly doubt that any plating equipment supplier machined and carburized/nitrided their own gear racks; rather they would buy standard components through a power transmission equipment supplier like Boston Gear -- so it might be pretty easy to get the particular part. Then again, maybe I'm misunderstanding because it's hard to believe a gear rack can wear out before wearing through a dozen pinion gears first :-)
