Upper thickness limit for cyanide brass plating?

Q. Good morning all!

Thanks for taking the time to read this post,

We currently use a proprietary brass plating salt for basis decorative plating on typically previously nickel plated castings.

We currently have a production idea for an item that we wish to electroform and wondered what the practical upper thickness limits are for for such a process? I understand that this is a pretty inefficient process and would take an age to build any appreciable thickness but is there an upper limit or is it purely a case of time and keeping the solution in check?

Our process would basically be - brass plate mandrel (ideally to circa 100microns, acid copper to 1000microns and then remove from mandrel.

Am I missing a trick, would there be a more suitable process for thick brass plating?
