Low grade stainless steel BBQ restoration
August 13, 2009
Hi, I'm looking to restore a stainless steel bbq which from what I've read is low grade due to the fact that you can attach a magnet to it. I have tried oxalic acid [affil links], naval jelly [on eBay or Amazon (adv.)] and pretty much everything. The bbq had some rust that I was able to take out but I still have some dark spots from the rust and the finish is not as nice as I would like it to be. Could you please tell me if there's anything I can use to restore it? Thanks

Scratch-B-Gone will work wonders on this problem and very quickly. As well, it will leave a protective conditioner which will retard future rusting. Best
