Stay out of cyanide. Strike first in an acid solution, either copper sulphate [on eBay or Amazon (adv.)]or nickel. Be is insoluble in CN. Once you cover it with copper from an acid solution, then you can do anything.

Q. Is it possible to plate over BeNi? What would the process be like? This is the first time I have ever seen a part come in as BeNi. I know BeNi consists of 97.3% Ni , 2.0% Be, 0.6% Ti, and 0.1% Al.
Thank You
